Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 March 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the AICS service operated by AICS Ltd ("AICS", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not access or use the service. Continued use of the service after any change to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Description of service
AICS provides a digital exposure monitoring service that checks email addresses and usernames against known data breach databases and other security intelligence sources. The service returns breach summaries, security indicators, and general remediation guidance. A free tier and paid membership and one-time report options are available.
Results are informational only. AICS is not an authoritative breach registry. Scan results may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, or unavailable at any time. They do not constitute professional security, legal, or financial advice, and should not be solely relied upon to make decisions about your personal or business security.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You may only submit email addresses and accounts that you own or are expressly authorised to check on behalf of the account holder.
- The service is intended for personal and business protective use only. You must not use it to investigate third parties without their knowledge and lawful consent.
- If you are using the service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
4. Account responsibility
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
- You must notify us immediately at info@aics.solutions if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including stalking, harassment, or the unauthorised investigation of individuals
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, authentication, or security measures
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute data or reports obtained via the service
- Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the service beyond normal personal use
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Upload, transmit, or submit any malicious code, virus, or harmful content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive source code from the service
- Use the service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against any person who, in our sole discretion, violates these provisions.
6. Paid membership and one-time purchases
- Membership fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis via our secure payment provider. One-time report purchases are charged at the time of purchase.
- You may cancel your membership at any time via the Billing section of your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
- We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for new members only: if you are not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of your first payment for a full refund. This guarantee applies once per customer.
- One-time report purchases are non-refundable once the report has been delivered, except where the report could not be generated due to a fault on our side.
- Refunds outside the above circumstances are at our sole discretion.
- We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time with at least 30 days' prior notice to active subscribers. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any additional taxes imposed by your jurisdiction.
7. Disclaimers and no warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AICS expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
- Breach and exposure data is sourced from third-party intelligence databases. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, currency, or reliability of any data returned by the service.
- A "Safe" or "No exposure found" result does not guarantee that your data has never been compromised. It means no record was found in the databases we queried at the time of the scan.
- Scanning results, including threat and URL analysis, may produce false positives or false negatives. Results should be independently verified before any action is taken.
- We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
- We are not responsible for any decisions you make, or fail to make, based on information provided by the service.
- We do not warrant that any security vulnerabilities or weaknesses identified by the service are exhaustive or that remediation guidance will prevent future incidents.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, in no event shall AICS, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service
- Damages arising from any reliance on, or action taken or not taken based on, information provided by the service
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
- Any conduct or content of any third party in connection with the service
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to AICS in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or £50 (whichever is greater).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by UK law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AICS and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgements, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these terms
- Your use of the service, including any data you submit
- Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right
- Any claim that information you submitted caused damage to a third party
10. Force majeure
AICS shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, riots, civil unrest, government or regulatory action, cyberattacks or distributed denial-of-service attacks against our infrastructure, third-party service outages (including hosting, database, or payment providers), or any other event outside our reasonable control.
11. Intellectual property
All content, software, interfaces, designs, trade marks, and materials comprising the AICS service are owned by or licensed to AICS Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from any part of our service without our express prior written permission.
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the service. By submitting data, you grant AICS a limited licence to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service immediately and without prior notice if you breach any of these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe your use of the service poses a risk to AICS, other users, or third parties.
You may delete your account at any time via the Account page. On termination for any reason, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections of these terms which by their nature should survive termination (including, without limitation, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) shall survive.
13. Severability
If any provision of these terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions of these terms shall continue in full force and effect.
14. Entire agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies or notices posted on the service, constitute the entire agreement between you and AICS with respect to the service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings. Any failure by AICS to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall first be submitted to us in writing at info@aics.solutions to allow us the opportunity to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
